Rekha Thapa

Director

Rekha Thapa is a distinguished and visionary leader in education, bringing over three decades of passionate service dedicated to nurturing young minds and transforming institutions. As a devoted custodian of academic excellence, she embraces her role as Director, poised to contribute significantly to the SHG Welfare Foundation's mission. Her profound commitment to integrity, innovation, and inclusive learning environments has been a hallmark of her illustrious career.

For over 30 years, Ms. Thapa served as Principal of St. George's Academy High School in Dehradun, where she spearheaded its growth and administration, leading faculty teams and mentoring teaching staff to ensure academic excellence across all grade levels. She adeptly oversaw school affiliation, compliance, curriculum innovation, and infrastructure development, consistently introducing progressive teaching methodologies, digital learning tools, and vital community-based education initiatives. Her earlier teaching experience also focused on value-based learning and student engagement.

Ms. Thapa's exceptional contributions have garnered numerous accolades, including the "Exemplary Principal Award" by the Uttarakhand Education Board (2017), and felicitation by the Uttarakhand Governor's Office (2019) for her lifelong dedication to education. She was honored by the Ministry of Women & Child Development (2012) for her pioneering efforts in promoting inclusive education and girls' empowerment. Recognized by NGOs & Social Welfare Departments, she has initiated impactful community education drives and adult literacy campaigns. Her "Lifetime Contribution to Education" Award (2021) by the All India School Leadership Council further underscores her profound impact.

As Director, Ms. Thapa leverages her extensive expertise in academic leadership, curriculum planning, team building, and inclusive education to ensure that the light of education continues to brighten lives and foster holistic growth.

Mr. Harsh Vardhan Shahi
